The Cavallo Repair Process

Our repair process is simple… call us first. Cavallo will assist you with reporting the claim and making all necessary arrangements to have your vehicle inspected at one of our three locations. To insure proper repair, we will negotiate the claim with the insurance company on your behalf.

How we work

The Cavallo repair process

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Damage assessment

Pre-wash the vehicle and assess all damage. We compile a complete list of operations and parts required to restore your vehicle to pre-loss condition — or better.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Insurance inspection

We arrange a scheduled meeting with your insurance representative, thoroughly explaining every operation and part needed, then place the order for parts.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Disassembly

The vehicle is disassembled to uncover any hidden damage not visible in the initial inspection. All findings are documented with your insurance rep before repairs begin.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Structural & body repairs

All structural repairs are completed using a dedicated fixture and/or computerized measuring system — whether your vehicle is aluminum, steel, or both. Metal finishing, straightening, and alignment of all openings and seams happens here.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Paint prep & refinishing

Factory caulking and undercoats are duplicated. Every panel is carefully prepped, primed, and sealed before the final color coat and clear coat are applied for a flawless, factory-matched finish.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Reassembly

The vehicle is meticulously reassembled. All systems are checked and calibrated to factory settings, and every molding and trim piece is verified for proper fit and alignment.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Final cleaning & inspection

A thorough cleaning is performed, followed by a complete pre-delivery inspection. A checklist is submitted and your final invoice is prepared.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Delivery

When you arrive, we walk you through every repair and complete your final paperwork. You leave in a safe, factory-correct vehicle.
